Cans and Bottles for Change
IT’S EASY TO PARTICIPATE
To donate your beverage containers to Community Volunteer Connections, follow these easy steps:
1. Collect your empty bottles/cans in a clear or clear blue recycling bag*
2. Click here and find your nearest Return-It Express depot.
3. Go to the Express Kiosk at your Depot and type in 604-529-5139
4. Enter how many labels you need (you need one label per bag)
5. Stick the printed label(s) to each bag of bottles/cans.
6. Put your bag(s) in the designated bin.
By using the Express Kiosk at your nearest Return-It location and skipping the general line, you’ll be making a difference! Your generous donation will automatically go to Community Volunteer Connections!
*Bring unsorted containers in sealed, clear or transparent bags up to 90-litre capacity. Put only a maximum of 12 glass bottles in each bag to prevent breakage.
Students receive a certificate of volunteer hours in collecting beverage containers to donate. All you have to do is keep a record of the dates and times you collected containers, take a picture of the label on the bag, and send it to Filio (email below) with your record of dates and times on the project.
Don’t have a vehicle. No problem. If you live in the Tri-Cities, we’ll pick up your beverage containers and deliver them to the nearest Return it depot. Contact Filio at fkondylis@volunteerconnections.ca
