50 Years – Stronger Together.

50 Years Strong 💛 Help Protect Community Volunteer Services

The 50th anniversary stabilization fundraising drive will support vital volunteer programs available to the Tri-Cities community. From placements for adults with intellectual disabilities, to volunteer support in mental health facilities, to high school student volunteer hours and the annual Volunteer Fair.

Your donation helps protect:

Volunteer placements for adults with intellectual disabilities (CLBC partner program).
Volunteers supporting adults receiving mental‑health care (Fraser Health partner program).
Students earning volunteer hours needed for graduation and university applications.
The annual Volunteer Fair in the fall.
Nonprofits who rely on us for volunteer recruitment, training, and support.

💛 Why This Matters

Every year, hundreds of people in the Tri-Cities rely on volunteer opportunities to build skills, gain confidence, and contribute meaningfully!

Here’s why people volunteer:

  • “Volunteering makes me proud and special.”
  • “I’m learning English and want to help more people.”
  • “I want to give back as I retire.”
  • “I volunteer to make new friends.”
  • “I need hours to graduate and help my community.”
  • “I want to feel useful and connected.”

Why Your Help Is Needed Now

💬 Our Challenge

Funding is tighter. Costs are higher. Times have become increasingly unpredictable as operating costs continue to grow. As a volunteer centre, we play a unique and essential role. We run inclusive volunteer programs and help nonprofits engage volunteers, share resources, and strengthen community. We need your help to protect and sustain the services our community depends on.

🌟 Our Goal: 750 people giving $14 to reach $10,500.

Your donation will strengthen the following Volunteer Services:

  • Support volunteer training and coordination.
  • Build capacity in local nonprofits struggling with high staff turnover.
  • Provide outreach to schools and libraries to build volunteer awareness.
  • Ensure smaller nonprofits can showcase their roles at our annual Volunteer Fair.
  • Maintain essential tools, resources, and community supports.

Your $14 can help dozens of volunteers connect with nonprofits, supporting thousands people being served in the Tri-Cities community, who count on essential services.

📊 Our Impact Last Year

  • 259 attendees connected with 29 nonprofits at our Volunteer Fair.
  • 114 volunteer opportunities posted by 40 nonprofits.
  • 2,174 volunteer hours contributed (valued at $45,000).
  • 493 volunteers and 207 organizations reached out for help and referrals.

A high‑school student recently wrote:

“I’m overwhelmed trying to find the right volunteer opportunity. Can you help me?”

This is why we’re here. And this is why your support matters.
