Community Volunteer Connections (CVC) began as the Greater Coquitlam Volunteer Bureau in 1976, promoting volunteer opportunities and supporting not-for-profit agencies in the recruitment of volunteers. Serving the Tri-Cities and surrounding region, CVC brings people together by advancing meaningful volunteer engagement to enhance the quality of life for people and support the cultivation of resilient communities.
Established in Coquitlam, Community Volunteer Connections works with local and regional organizations in the voluntary sector, to develop, support and promote volunteer engagement. We match volunteers with organizations that reduce poverty; increase housing affordability; provide for the inclusion of seniors in community life; enhance the development and wellbeing of youth, people with disabilities and newcomers; support the welfare of animals; care for the environment; fight debilitating illnesses; and, facilitate arts and multi-cultural programming.
