At Community Volunteer Connections, we understand that volunteers are key to the success of mission delivery – at every level – for charities, non-profits, and community groups. As a volunteer centre, we are here to provide resources and support in the recruitment, management, and engagement of volunteers for your organization.  

Promote and Recruit

As a volunteer centre, we advance volunteerism in the community by supporting individuals that want to volunteer and by supporting local organizations such as charities, non-profits, and community groups in recruiting, managing, and engaging volunteers.

We do this by encouraging people to volunteer their time and by providing easy access to volunteer opportunities. We also work with you (volunteer administrators) to promote volunteer opportunities, recruit volunteers, and build capacity in your volunteer program.

📢 Volunteer Listings and Volunteer E-news

CVC’s initiatives that support organizations in recruiting volunteers include the Volunteer Now listing database of volunteer opportunities, and the Volunteer Voice bi-weekly newsletter. They work hand-in-hand to assist you in reaching volunteers from across the TriCities.

The Volunteer Voice newsletter is sent to 600+ subscribers living in the TriCities. You post volunteer positions on the Volunteer Now platform, and the newsletter drives traffic to your most recent listings.  

✨ Volunteer Fair

The Volunteer Fair is another initiative to help organizations recruit volunteers. We host one every spring and fall and have greeted more than 400+ attendees at a given fair. We promote the fair to high school students, working adults, families, newcomers, and seniors.

💥Boosted Promotions

We also work with you to boost your volunteer opportunities in the Volunteer Voice newsletter by highlighting your organization in our special Community Nonprofit section, and by featuring your volunteer opportunity on CVC’s Twitter and Facebook channels. Currently we’re working on plans to offer one complimentary 1-2-minute video you can use in your own promotions in a volunteer role you would like to highlight.

Once you become a member, you can post unlimited volunteer opportunities on Volunteer Now, register early and at a reduced rate to the Volunteer Fair, take advantage of our boosted promotions on media channels, and reach out to us to book a video session.
